Eli = 18 months

How in the world has this happened?  Our baby is now a walking, talking, independent, OPINIONATED, toddler.  We had his 18 month check up with Dr. Pedersen (our favorite) today, and he is doing great!  Very social, walking, climbing, eating well, and turning into a goofy little boy.  Currently he is doing some drawing with markers in his high chair next to me, but mostly coloring on his face/hands and organizing the markers and lids while shooting me some cheesy grins every once in a while.

This sweet boy.  He can play very well independently when he wants to, had his first haircut in January and is really thinning out, starting to look like a toddler, not a baby.  He loves taking things out of things and putting them back in things.  Loves to help with jobs, like throwing things in the trash can, stacking blocks, organizing things, wrestling with Luke and daddy, swinging swords around and while making battle noises and blowing on the fire in the fireplace when we have one.  He still loves baths, but mostly filling up cups of water out of the faucet and trying to drink from them, and then dumping them on his head.  He loves to watch Daniel Tiger and anything Luke is watching (current favorite is the movie The Incredible's).  He loves to play peekaboo hiding his face behind his hands, plates, curtains, or anything else he can hold up.  He loves to wear hats and make silly noises.  He also can point to all of his body parts, and loves to look for everyone's belly.

In addition, he is in what we like to call a screaming phase.  He can fully communicate with his words and pointing what he needs, but instead, sometimes he really just likes to scream.  I mean it's awful.  High pitched, grating, and terrible.  Other than that, he is at a really charming age right now.

Eli is:

33.75" tall (90th percentile)
29 lbs, 1.6 oz (95th percentile)
48.7 cm head circumference (84th percentile)

He is saying lots of words and starting to repeat new ones after you say them to him!  Of course, I'm sitting here making his word list after his Dr. appointment, instead of before so I could remember all of them for her.  Oh, well.  #secondchildproblems
