Luke = 5 months

Better late than never!  We’re actually closer to 6 months than 5, but who cares.  This last month was a beast for me with work, starting and finishing a class, the holidays and Luke.  Hopefully I’ll be able to get back to writing more regularly with just school and Luke!

Look how grown up he's getting! Very thoughtful face.

Weight:  17 pounds (is a tentative guess – he had a bad cold for two weeks or so, so didn’t gain much this month.)

Length:  Not sure!  We’ll see at 6 months.
Clothes Size:  Mostly 9 and 12 months!

Special Skills:  ALMOST sitting up by himself, turning pages when we read books, LOVING the Christmas tree and holiday things, reaching (for Dexter – not mom and dad of course), eating oatmeal in his high chair, seeing snow for the first time, still loving to fly and behaving on the plane, putting his feet in a pool for the first time, learning how to play with all the toys on his baby Einstein, getting excited about seeing new things, rolling over and spending time on his tummy (finally), and loving when daddy sings to him. 

 Walk on of of the freakishly warm days in late November.  His stroller is now forward facing - no more bassinet!

Must Have Products:  Feet jammies.  We have been spending most days in jammies lately.  No judging.  Pop-up and touch and feel books.  His round ball that jingles when he shakes it. His stuffed animals and his giraffe and basketball that hang on his car seat.   

Kara/Mom's State of Mind:  So glad this month is over.  Sick babies are no fun.  Also a crazy work schedule and class while taking care of a baby is additional no fun.  Makes for an overwhelming few weeks.  However, Luke is at SUCH a fun stage right now.  He loves to play and interact, but is still not quite mobile – which rules.  He is so snuggly and sweet and still sleeping and napping great!  I am looking forward to the holidays and some time off!

 
Dave/Dad's State of Mind: Our trip to Houston was awesome!  I'm so excited for the holidays and for some time off of work to spend with the family.  Luke is more and more amazing every day.  He knows who we are, is rolling over and smiling at us.  I love hanging out with him and cant wait to continue to see him grow.  He is just amazing.
