Eli = 7 Months
Sweet Eli - you were 7 months old on April 2, 2015. As I write these blog posts, I realize I sound a little bit like a broken record! During your 7th month, we tried to get you to sleep flat - and it was a failed endeavor due to ANOTHER bad cold. I felt bad letting you cry it out when you weren't even really able to breathe - so back into the cradle you went. We also tried a few nights with you and Luke in the same room, first in the crib, and then in the cradle in the crib and we had varied levels of success. We had to work with Luke to not turn his light on first thing when he got up, and to whisper when going to bed. In the end, we decided you were both not quite ready and you ended up back in our bathroom.

You also were teething this month my dear, which was a bit of a bear. We did Motrin and Tylenol around the clock, but to no avail. You were not too interested in food because of your teeth coming in, and therefore were hungry in the middle of the night. There were days you only ate 1-2 ounces of your 8 ounce bottles and no solid food, after loving everything you tried when we first started! We in fact were so worried about this business that we took you to the doctor and were told - "yup, it's normal, sometimes they just don't eat when teething - and no, he doesn't have an ear infection, he's just that cranky."
Despite all of that, you continue to be a sweet joy my baby boy. You are starting to sit up for longer periods of time, you are snuggly, and loving and engaging and smiley. That maybe makes up for all the late nights?? We'll see :)
