Happy Spring everyone!! Due to a hectic schedule, we haven't had much time to blog lately, but I wanted the chance to share some pictures with everyone. I hope everyone is having a great Spring, and enjoying finally being outside after a long winter.
Things are going well for us - Kara loves her new job (I am so incredibly proud of her, she is amazing), and my job is going really well also - Auctor is growing and hiring and it's an exciting time. Luke is growing at a pace that is downright ridiculous - speaking in full sentences, correcting Mommy and Daddy when they do something wrong, and helping out around the house. He LOVES clearing the dinner table and taking all the dishes into the kitchen. Eli (or Eno Peno, as Luke calls him) is also growing big and strong. Interestingly enough, he seems closer to standing than to crawling - I think it's an upper body strength issue. We're working on his core. :)
Recently we've really enjoyed celebrating with Kristy and Jason as they move to Chicago, as well as Aunt Hannah's college graduation, and my dad's successful recovery from his surgery. Several of Luke's friends have had birthdays, and we've really enjoyed playing at the parks, taking walks with Dexter, and even sitting outside for dinner. Daddy built a new computer, that he is very proud of, and Mommy got recognized at work as the Performer of the Week. We are really looking forward to lots of fun summer activities, including camping for the first time with Luke, and trips to see lots of different family members and friends.
Our challenge as this spring and summer approach is to continue to be intentional about carving out time for our family to breathe. With Kara working nights, my job expanding and occasionally requiring me to travel, two young boys, and our desire to have a strong servant heart at church - we have had a tough time finding time to connect. Kara misses the kids, and we miss our time with each other. It's just tough to fit everything in. We are so blessed with so many wonderful opportunities, but are challenged to remind ourselves of our first priorities. God. Marriage. Kids. In that order.
I hope everyone enjoys the pictures below! I had such a good time looking at all of them again while writing this.
Peace and love,

Getting some precious time with Cousin Bowen. Luke has been talking about playing with Bowen for WEEKS, and even made him a stew by putting all his toys into one pot and "cooking" them for Bowen. |
