Eli = 2 months
Our sweet Eli is two months old! Check him out :)
Weight: 13 lbs, 15 oz (84th percentile)
Length: 24" (89th percentile)
Head Circumference: 15.55" (61st percentile)
He did great at his two month check up! His length and weight are great as well as his developmental milestones. He is MUCH better tracking with his eyes (something we were watching), does great holding his head up, and is already starting to smile!
We had noticed some slight stridor as he breathed over the last month. Our pediatrician agreed with us and said it's likely that he has a very slight case of laryngomalacia. Come on! Two boys over ten pounds, two shoulder dystocias, and two diagnoses of laryngomalacia. Creepy. Anyways, Eli's is MUCH more mild and we are just watching it for now.
He is the sweetest little guy. Still so laid back and easygoing. He loves to be held, but also has times where he really just wants to lay by himself! He loves laying flat on his back and bicycle kicking and babbling looking up at the ceiling. I so wonder what is going on in his head. He also loves his play mat and is getting much more deliberate hitting and kicking the hanging birds.
He LOVES his big brother and to date gives his biggest, best smiles to him. Luke has grown much more fond of Eli. He always wants to know where he is, give him kisses and hugs, and occasionally wants him to lay in bed with him when we put him down at night. I think they will be the best of friends.
Eli is an EATER. Since I have been working, he takes bottles a lot so we have a much better idea of how much he's eating! He'll eat 4 oz. most feedings, sometimes 5! I am still pumping at work and nursing him when I'm home, but formula is most definitely a part of his diet. He is still great at going back and forth but especially at night we'll have to give him a bottle in addition to nursing to fill him up! He is going to sleep around 11 p.m. and waking up around 4:30/5:00 a.m. so I usually feed him before I go to work and put him back down. He goes back to sleep right after he eats, and I can only remember one night where he woke up in between for any reason. Rockstar.
He has beautiful blue eyes, which I hope won't change! I love the blue eye, dark hair combination. He also has a bright red birth mark on his wrist that our pediatrician said could grow until he turns one, and then will start to shrink. I like it though, gives him character :)
He met his cousins this month, Bowen and Noah were in from Houston for a week, which was SO much fun! We had a great time with them, and had our first night out since two kids, which was also SO much fun :)
We are so incredibly blessed with this sweet life we continue to see grow and unfold and change every day. We love our little roommate and can't wait to see what God has in store for him!
Happy two months sweet boy!
