Eli = 5 Months
Eli! How has it been 5 months my sweetest littlest boy?
This month was again the month of doctor visits for our Eli! He was officially diagnosed with Laryngomalicia, and though not as severe as Luke's, our ENT did say it was worse than she thought after she scoped him to confirm the diagnosis. He was started on Prilosec, which seems to be helping with the spitting up and stridor, and we have a follow up in March, so we'll see what happens!
We were also back at the pediatrician AGAIN for respiratory/cold/RSV/pneumonia nastiness. Eli had breathing treatments (that Luke loved to turn on and off) every four hours, steroids AND antibiotics. It was probably a good 2-3 weeks of bad coughing, bad sleeping, and overall a pretty miserable little Eli, but he seems to have come out of it well! Once he started feeling better he was playing catch up with his eating. For about a week and a half, he ate almost 50 oz of formula a day. 50 ounces!! The high end of normal for his age is 32 oz. Woah. Poor guy.
Since he has been feeling better, we have finally gotten him on a consistent eating/napping/sleeping schedule. He sleeps about 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. and has a morning and afternoon nap as well. He is eating (4) 8 oz bottles, about every 4 hours and has perked back up into his sweet little self.
We had some unseasonably warm days this month as well, and headed to the park a few times! Gorgeous!
We are so unbelievably in love with our two little boys :) Eli! We are so blessed to be your parents, and you are growing into such a joyful, sweet little boy!

This was also the first time Eli had an extended time away from Dave and I as we went on a trip to the Dominican Republic (which was fabulous if you were wondering), Grandma, Grammy, and Uncle Joe and Aunt Hannah all pitched in and helped take care of the boys for us!
