Eli = 8 Months

Shockingly, my sweet Eli,  you were sick again - we had TWO rounds of antibiotics this month, steroids, awful eating and awful sleeping.  You poor dude.  Dr. Pedersen said that the second kiddo can often get sicker than the first, because you have the first bringing home all these viruses etc. that they have already been exposed to, and pass them on to you.  Such fun.  You poor guy.  The second antibiotic, Augmentin, seemed to finally do the trick and kick all of the yuck to the curb.

Eli was 8 months on May 2, 2015.  What a month April was!  We were all over the place - trips, surgeries, funerals, overtime, more trips.  We were left drained after this one.

This month, you are sitting up amazingly well, reaching for us, babbling like crazy, starting to like solid foods again especially mum mum crackers, and any orange vegetable.  We are bringing protein back (you were really having a hard time with it when you were sick and coughing and swallowing was harder) and doing more fruits and oatmeal.  You do love to make a painful moaning noise the whole time you eat - which is not your most enjoyable trait.  You also had your first Easter this month!  Not too exciting for you yet, but I'm sure you will LOVE it next year.

We also started an application with First Steps because it looks like you have a little bit of Torticollis (where your little head always tilts to the left) so we are going to work on finishing that up and getting you some physical therapy to get it straightened out.  It isn't severe - you still look both ways and don't tilt your head when you are laying flat, but we think it will be best to work on it now while you are young!

Through it all, your sweet heart is still shining through.  You LOVE your big brother even when he's overly loving (read aggressive), you love to giggle, squeal and laugh, and are a joy to be around.  You also had your first trip to the beach this month, and had a great time playing with your cousin Noah.  You hung out under our makeshift tent and napped, but had a great time eating crackers and enjoying the waves as well!  You also did so great on the plane for your first flight, sleeping in your pumpkin seat on the way there, and sitting up in your own seat and entertaining firefighters next to us on the way home.

We love you sweet boy!
